As a NextGen EPM Billing Project Specialist you’ll work closely with our customers to identify and implement deliverables and outcomes, as agreed upon in your statement of work. In addition to this NextGen project work, you will help share your NextGen knowledge with our customer’s full-time team, mentor employees as needed, escalate issues, and generally ensure the success of projects.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • A NextGen EPM Billing Project Specialist is part of a collaborative team, responsible for the successful implementation, realization and optimization of NextGen EPM processes and associated applications.
  • Works directly with Project Managers, Project Leads, Program Director, and the NextGen implmentation team to achieve successful integrated implementations and upgrades.
  • Provides support and guidance for NextGen Revenue Cycle Builds.
  • Completes build tasks and/or supports build team resource activities with RCM operations knowledge to ensure the billing perspective is integrated into the validation session, design, build and testing of new solutions.
  • Monitors project timelines and daily tasks and collaborates with project manager and team for successful execution of the plan.
  • Monitors and assists with issue resolution and risk mitigation efforts to ensure issues are resolved or escalated to appropriate parties for resolution.
  • Identifies barriers to projects’ success and supports risk management planning.
  • Provides resource support and collaborates on workgroup-specific project tasks.
  • The NextGen EPM Billing Project Specialist reports directly to the Ambulatory Solutions Manager and works well in collaboration with Project Managers and other project team members.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Job Requirements

  • NextGen Certification on NextGen EPM minimum.
  • Minimum Five (5) years of experience implementing NextGen in a multi-facility healthcare system(s).
  • End-to-end experience in a billing analyst role.
  • NextGen experience and general Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) knowledge in the following areas:
  • RCM/Billing Setups and Configurations, including claims, statements, and remittances.
  • RCM related reporting.
  • Clearinghouse technology and related processes.
  • Insurance Credentialing (although a customer responsibility, knowledge of these processes is preferred).
  • Insurance eligibility.
  • Current coding knowledge including CPT, ICD-10 and E&M.
  • Workflow Assessments/Gap Analysis expertise to capture current state workflows and make recommendations on future state/best practice workflows.
  • Creating and updating Training Agendas and Guides for end users.
  • Knowledge of EPM Billing documentation and standard systems interface technologies.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically with problem-solving methodologies.
  • Relationship building and maintaining with customers.
  • Travel 50% or more.

Highly Preferred Experience:

  • NextGen Certified Professional (NCP) in EHR and/or ancillary applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field.

This is a contract/temp position, it is a hybrid work remote from home office and travel up to 50% to cleint sites.  It requires COVID 19 Vaccination due to traveling to client sites.
